Information and Policies & Procedures for Rainbow Fleet Training and Appropriate Learning Environments:
- Registration Fees are most generally based on a rate of $7.50 per clock hour (ex: 2 clock hours = $15.00; 4 clock hours = $30.00; etc.)
- Cell phones and pagers must be turned off while attending training.
- Children may not attend. Space is limited and children distract participants.
- Reserving your space can be made by submitting a completed registration form and payment with check, cash, money order, or credit/debit card (Visa or MasterCard). A space is only guaranteed when payment is received. A receipt will be issued to complete your enrollment. Please bring your receipt to class.
- Rainbow Fleet Training Vouchers or a refund will be issued if we cancel a class due to low enrollment. No refunds are made unless we cancel the course. If you withdraw from a workshop, the withdrawal must be made at least 24 hours in advance to receive a voucher. The vouchers are good for 1 year from the date of issue and cannot be transferred or shared. A voucher must accompany the registration form when using it as money, only the person whose name is on the voucher may use the voucher. If you do not participate in a class you registered for, your fee (which may also include a voucher) will be forfeited.
- Physical Location Rainbow Fleet Child Care Resource and Referral is located at 3024 Paseo, Oklahoma City, OK 73103 This location is at the Southeast corner of the intersection at NW 30th and Dewey (Paseo), between Walker and Classen. Please park in the lot provide directly across the street to the North, or in back of our building.
First Aid and CPR
“Injury prevention and First Care” is a Pediatric First-Aid course for child care providers. This class offers Emergency Medical Services for infant and children. The class covers burns, medication administration, child abuse, Shaken Baby Syndrome, SIDS and much more. The course meets all of the DHS requirements including Rescue Breathing and Foreign Body Air-Way Obstruction. Upon successful completion, American Heart Association Pediatric Basis Life Support CPR Cards will be issued, plus DHS Certificates for First-Aid

Building Blocks of Language & Literacy for Young Children
This workshop will focus on the building blocks of language for preschool children. We will talk about creating a literacy center and fun ways to incorporate literacy in all of your learning centers. I will share lots of ideas for activities sure to please your preschoolers.

In this training we'll look at how to plan classroom activities by "webbing" and using a variety of resources. We will have a chance to make activities and materials for different centers, and focus on the importance of inexpensive, homemade items in the classroom.

Participants will learn how to become brain smart by understanding the communication from each part of the brain
Particpants will have a better view into the workings of the brain. They will learn how each part communicates and how to communicate with the child so they feel safe and connected.
Participants will be begin to understand how to build positive connections through eye contact, touch, physical presence in a playful setting.
