CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE (CDA)
Licensed child care providers in Oklahoma, earn your National Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential!
Rainbow Fleet Child Care Resource & Referral Agency is offering a special program for Oklahoma child care providers. Our goals are to increase the quality of care as measured by the Reaching for the Stars program and to help you enhance your professionalism and earn higher fees.

Together with the Scholars for Excellence in Child Care Program at the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, Rainbow Fleet will:

Pay the full training and assessment costs for one provider at your licensed child care facility to earn a CDA credential, a value of $1,100

Provide equipment/materials to meet CDA standards, a value of $550
-
Offer 150 clock hours of training from an approved instructor in the Rainbow Fleet Training Room located at 1105 N.W. 45th St. Oklahoma City, OK 73118

Provide one hour of coaching in your licensed child care facility for each of the ten courses included in the CDA Pathways Competency training

Pay $45 towards the National CDA Assessment Fee

Provide support as you create your CDA portfolio

Prepare you for the CDA observation by doing a preliminary visit in your licensed child care facility

Provide you with free membership to Rainbow Fleet’s Resource Center during your participation in this program, a value of $40, with access to our lending library of toys and other resources for your licensed child care facility
As a participant in this program, your responsibilities include:

Meet eligibility requirements for the program, which include meeting Scholars for Excellence and Pathway to Your National CDA Credential eligibility

Attend and fully participate in 150 hours of training at Rainbow Fleet (a few training dates may be missed if the coursework is made up on your own time)

Pass the End of Instruction assessment to earn the Pathways Competency Certificate

Submit a CDA Assessment Scholarship Application to the Scholars program.

Complete a Professional Portfolio and request and collect Family Questionnaires

Pass the National CDA exam that will be offered by the community college partner

Participate in a Verification Visit by a CDA Council Professional Development Specialist.

Agree to a 6-month commitment to the field of child care after receiving CDA Credential.

Should you drop out of the program for any reason, you will be responsible for repaying fees paid by Rainbow Fleet on your behalf
