NATIONAL FAMILY CHILD CARE HOME ACCREDITATION

Licensed Family Child Care Home Providers in Oklahoma, earn your National Family Child Care Home Accreditation!

Rainbow Fleet Child Care Resource and Referral Agency is offering a special program for Oklahoma child care providers. Our goals are to increase quality of care as measured by the Reaching for the Stars program and to help you increase your star accreditation.

Rainbow Fleet will: 
  • Pay the full NAFCC membership and accreditation fees, which includes Self Study, Application, and Membership Fee, for your licensed family child care home
  • Offer 60 clock hours of formal-approved accreditation training from an approved instructor in the Rainbow Fleet Training Room located at 1105 N.W. 45th St. Oklahoma City, OK 73118
  • Provide one-hour of coaching in your licensed child care home monthly
  • Prepare you for accreditation by doing a preliminary assessment from a certified assessor on your licensed family child care home, using the Business Administration Scale (BAS) tool
  • Provide equipment and materials to meet NAFCC Accreditation Standards
  • Provide a post program assessment from a certified assessor, using the Business Administration Scale (BAS) tool
  • Provide a mock visit at the Family Child Care Home prior to the program’s accreditation verification visit, using the NAFCC assessor tool
  • Review your request for Family Child Care Home Five-Star Certification prior to submission
  • Provide you with free membership to Rainbow Fleet’s Resource Center during your participation in this program, a value of $40, with access to our lending library of toys and other resources for your licensed child care facility.

As a participant in this program, your responsibilities include:

  • Meet eligibility requirements for the program

  • Attend and fully participate in 60 clock hours of formal-approved accreditation training at Rainbow Fleet

  • Participate in 12 one-hour coaching sessions

  • Complete the NAFCC Self Study (12 classes)

  • Gather documents needed for accreditation verification visit

  • Participate in initial and post-program assessments by a staff member at Rainbow Fleet

  • Participate in a mock accreditation verification visit by a staff member at Rainbow Fleet

  • Participate in an accreditation verification visit by a NAFCC approved assessor

  • Submit your online request for Family Child Care Home Five-Star Certification

  • Should you drop out of the program for any reason, you will be responsible for repaying fees paid by Rainbow Fleet on your behalf
